Unspeakable things are coming: Warpstorm 6 April 2013

Unspeakable things are coming:

Warpstorm 6 April 2013

Dear citizens of the Empire

I have sad news. Our astronomers have predicted a Warpstorm on the 6th of April 2013.
Now you may or may not be aware what this means to the Empire and its allies...

The eye of the gods seem to be pulsating in the night sky. Our astronomers believe an incursion from beyond the Warp is about to take place. We can expect a masive rent in the warp, and that creatures absolutely unspeakable will pour from the Daemon world into our universe.

Time has no boundaries for these creatures, and it is expected that they will strike both in the fuedal world of Warhammer Fantasy and in the 40th Millenium.

This event will take place at the Paraparaumu Community Centre, Ngahina Street, Paraparaumu on
Saturday 6 April 2013.

Be warned, clean your weapons, pray for blessings and spare not the blasphemers!

Looking forward: Club events for the year

Looking forward: Club events for the year

The committee  had a very fruitful planning meeting last night: Exciting events coming for this year. The club is going from strength to strength. Sam will be drawing up an official calendar for the year, but here are some highlights to tantalise:

6 April 2013:

Apocamashup

A Demonic Incursion like you have never seen before:

One ma-a-a-assive table, incorporating both 40K and Fantasy.

What? You've read right:

One table, two rule sets, two genres. Not mixed in though, but terrain allowing both genres to fight on "one" table, basically joining two huge games together, one fantasy and one 40k, with a "Timewarp" in the centre, separating the two, But with the demonic incursion coming from one rent in the warp (one side of the table)

Fantasy will play the Destruction of Kislev, with High Elves and  Empire (Kislev) defending against a massive Daemonic incursion. 40 K yet to be finalised. Lots of smaller games also going down, kill teams, etc too!

4 May 2013 : Interclub meeting with Wellington Warlords - at their venue

30 June 2013:  Open Day

August/September: Exact date to be confirmed

Armourgeddon 2013:

A Celebration of the Armoured Vehicle. 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Kursk, the greatest tank battle in history:

Massive scale WW2 Tank Battles: Flames of War and Flames of War in 20mm and 40K Armoured Battles

October: Annual Swop Meet

Games Night, Mordheim Kicks off

DoC Army Book Release

  • Great Excitement for Daemon Players, Saturday saw the release of the new Army Book and Codex. Some members have already acquired the new book, and are keen to try the new rule-sets for their armies out

  • Mordheim Campaign starts next week, so this week the last to get your warband approved before the campaign begins.Last chance tonight.

  • Club Games Night tonight, as if anyone's gonna forget... but we do like and appreciate your presence at the club!

  • NatCon is on at St Patrick's Hall in Upper Hutt over the Easter Weekend. If you've never attended make a plan to at least visit. Several players from KWC will be competing. As far as we are aware Sam, Fern and Hamish will be competing in Fantasy. Anyone taking part in 40K or FoW (or another game type for that matter)?
